NTA Extends JEE Main 2026 Registration; Application Window Reopened Till March 13

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session-2 and reopened the application window to provide another opportunity to engineering aspirants who could not complete their applications earlier.
According to the latest update, the JEE Main 2026 Session-2 application portal reopened on March 12, 2026, and candidates can now submit their online application forms until March 13, 2026 (9:00 PM) through the official website. The facility for payment of the application fee will remain available until 11:50 PM on March 13, 2026. ()
The decision was taken after the NTA received several requests from students seeking additional time to complete the registration process.
Fresh Opportunity for Candidates
The testing agency clarified that this reopening of the application window is meant to give a final chance to candidates who missed the earlier deadline due to technical issues or other reasons. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete their registration immediately to avoid missing the opportunity.
The application process is being conducted completely online through the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in.

About JEE Main Examination
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes such as B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch., and B.Planning.
Scores obtained in JEE Main are used for admission to prestigious institutions including:
National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
